| 自己紹介 | こんにちは！私の名前は、カールです。南アフリカのケープタウンというところに住んでいます。 TEFLの資格を持っていて、オンラインで英語を教えることを楽しんでいます。2001年から高校の講師をしていてエンジニアリング・グラフィックス、経済学、英語などを教えていました。2017年にオンラインで英語を教えはじめてとても楽しかったので、TEFL、TESOLの資格をとりました。さまざまな年齢やレベルの生徒に対して、5000回以上のオンラインレッスンを行ってきました。 若い頃、私は素晴らしい先生方に恵まれ、影響を受け、いまの私があります。私は教えることと、新しい生徒さんに会うことが大好きです。 私は彼らが成長し、スキルを身につけるのを見るのが大好きです。生徒一人ひとりを知り、友情を育むことを楽しんでいます。 生徒様のニーズに合わせてレッスンをしています。発音、文型、読解力、会話力などを鍛えていきます。 私のレッスンは、文法的なミスを減らし、理解を深めることに重点を置いています。 My name is Carl, and I am a native English speaker. I currently live in Cape Town, South Africa. I am a certified TEFL teacher, and enjoy teaching online. I am a high school teacher, and have taught since 2001. I teach Engineering Graphics, Accounting and English as a first additional language. In 2017 I started teaching online English lessons and enjoyed it so much that I went and did a TEFL/TESOL qualification. I have taught over 5000 online lessons in this time to students of various ages and levels. In my youth, I was privileged to have wonderful teachers that influenced and shaped me. I love teaching and meeting new students. I love watching them grow and develop their skills. I enjoy getting to know each student and creating friendships. I tailor my lessons to my student’s needs. We will work on pronunciation, sentence structure, reading comprehension, and conversational skills. My lessons will focus on decreasing grammatical errors and strengthening understanding. This will be done in an entertaining, natural, and relaxed manner through conversation. I love the outdoors - hiking, swimming, surfing, cycling, fishing and more. When I am not teaching, I am out in nature with my family. I live on the coast and spend a lot of time at the beach or in the mountains. I enjoy my motorcycle, and a good game of football or chess too. I have a wonderful family. My wife and I have four children between the ages of 1 and 7. Nathan is seven and is our oldest. He loves fishing. Casey is 6 and is an incredible runner. Tayla is 4 and is a strong little gymnast. Chloe is almost 2 and is learning to speak. I look forward to meeting you, developing your English and most importantly, making a new friend! |
| 経歴・資格 | I have taught at three high schools and two online English companies in my career. I have studied in a few areas, Engineering, Accounting, Business and English. I have studied at universities in three different countries - Unisa in South Africa, BYU in America and Cambridge University in England. My most recent qualifications have been multiple short courses in teaching English online from Cambridge University. |
