| 自己紹介 | ◆◇Nice to meet you!◇◆ Hello and welcome to my profile! I’m a Canadian English teacher living in Kawagoe, Saitama. I love learning about Japanese culture and sharing Canadian culture. I enjoy music, art, reading, and language learning. This is my third year teaching on S-Lessons. I offer fun, creative, and flexible lessons for all students. It has been a joy to meet so many motivated, cheerful, cute and bright students here and watch them grow ^_^ <3 I am very proud of all my students!!! ◆◇My strengths◇◆ ◆◇先生の強み◇◆ I always try to make lessons enjoyable and positive. Each student is unique, so I adapt my lessons to match their needs, interests, and level. I do not use a “one size fits all” approach. I also believe it takes a lot of courage to speak another language, so I always try to encourage my students positively so that they can grow in confidence! 英語のレッスンを「楽しく・ポジティブな時間」にすることを心がけています。 ひとりひとりの生徒さんに合わせて、興味やレベルにぴったり合う内容でレッスンをします。「みんな同じ」ではなく、「その子にぴったりのレッスン」を作ります。 英語を話すのには勇気がいりますよね。だからこそ、先生はいつもやさしく声をかけて、楽しく自信をつけられるようにサポートします！ I especially enjoy creative lessons. If your child likes writing, I can teach: ・Story writing ストーリー（お話）づくり ・Poetry ポエム（詩）を書こう ・Show & Tell ショー＆テル（好きなものを英語で紹介） ・Journals 日記レッスン ・Fun persuasive writing (e.g. making ads!) 楽しい広告づくりなどの説得力トレーニング！ I also offer lessons for older students using news articles or essay writing. We can practice reading critically and sharing opinions in English. 中学生以上の生徒さんには、ニュース記事を使ったディスカッションや、エッセイの書き方レッスンもできます。英語で意見を伝える力を育てましょう！ ◆◇For young learners◇◆ ◆◇小さなお子さま向けのレッスン◇◆ I have taught children as young as 3 years old. For young students, I recommend that parents join the lesson. We can sing, do gestures, and learn simple words and phrases together. Early exposure helps children enjoy English naturally! 3歳のお子さんからレッスンを行った経験があります。 小さなお子さまの場合は、できれば保護者の方も一緒にレッスンにご参加ください。 いっしょに歌ったり、ジェスチャーをしたり、楽しく英語にふれることができます♪ 小さいころから英語にふれることで、英語が大好きになりますよ！ ◆◇About homework◇◆ ◆◇宿題について◇◆ If you would like homework, I can provide extra practice materials. Please feel free to let me know your preferences anytime! ご希望があれば、レッスンのあとに練習プリントなどの宿題もご用意できます。 ご希望があれば、いつでもお気軽にお知らせください！ ◇◆schedule◇◆ ◆◇レッスンのスケジュール◇◆ My main lesson teaching day is every Wednesday from 3:30 until 9:30, but can sometimes accommodate different times as well. Please do not hesitate to message me to request a different time or day. I will open the lessons for the next month on the 15th of every month. 毎週水曜日の15:30～21:30がメインのレッスン時間です。 そのほかの時間もご希望があれば、可能なかぎり調整いたしますので、お気軽にご相談ください。 毎月15日に、次の月のスケジュールを公開しています。 ◇◆I look forward to meeting you!◇◆ Let’s have fun learning together ^_^ |
| 経歴・資格 | I have five years experience working for the JET programme as an assistant English teacher at a private middle school and high school in Tokyo and have been working at an English conversation school in Saitama since March 2023. I have taught English to students of a wide range of abilities and levels, including coaching them for Eiken interviews and recitation contests. I have taught phonics and early writing skills as well as more advanced language skills, such as essay writing. I also have experience working with young children and understand how to adapt lesson material to suit these younger students. |
