| 自己紹介 | こんにちは、みなさん！アメリカ生まれのネイティブスピーカーのカトリーナです。今はオーストラリアに住んでいて3年間は勉学に励んでいました。他の国に住むことは、違った文化を学ぶことができる素晴らしい機会です。自国とは違った食べ物を使って新しい料理に挑戦しています。 Hello students! My name is Katrina and I am a native speaker from the United States. I am currently in Australia where I completed the majority of my studies in the past three years. Living in another country is a great way to learn another culture and try different types of food. When I am not traveling, I am cooking and experimenting on a new dish. Most of my experience comes from online tutoring and teaching in a nearby library. I have helped many students from other countries to learn English. Most of my students are children. Other than teaching English. I also teach school subjects. Here are some reviews from a few students: This review is from a Canadian student: This was just a 10 minute trial lesson. Katrina was very friendly and had some nice ideas for breaking the ice with my son on his very first skype lesson. I was impressed at how knowledgeable she was with Japanese anime/manga characters that my son would know. This is from a young Japanese student: 小６の子の初レッスンでした。ビデオを見て、知ってる単語を言うアクティビティが一番楽しかった！と言っていました。単語を知らずにあまり言えなかったにも関わらず、子供って不思議です。30分の中でいろいろなアクティビティが経験できて嬉しかったようで、早く２回目のレッスンを受けたいと言っています。 It was the first lesson of a child of Small 6. Actually the most interesting words to watch the video and know the word was the most fun! It was said. Despite not being able to say much without knowing the words, children are mysterious. It seems that I was happy to have experienced various activities within 30 minutes and I'd like to get a second lesson early. In terms of teaching style, I like to customize a lesson to a student’s needs. If a student for example learns better with pictures, most of the lesson will have visual material. My lessons will cover reading comprehension (how well a student reads and understands the story), conversational practice, vocabulary and listening skills. |
