I am Lilian, a certified English teacher living and working in Japan. I teach English every day inside real Japanese classrooms as a licensed Language Teacher. This means I understand exactly how Japanese children and adults experience English. I know what builds their confidence and what holds them back. That knowledge goes directly into every lesson I teach. I am originally from Nigeria and a native English speaker. When I am not teaching I am watching a K-Drama or reading a good book. I bring that same warmth and energy into every lesson. I have four years of teaching experience working with all kinds of learners. From children as young as three years old taking their very first steps in English, all the way to adult professionals who need English to grow their careers. I have taught them all and I know how each group learns best. I am TEFL certified, and nationally licensed as a teacher. Every student is different. I never use the same lesson for everyone. I listen to what you need, I watch how you learn, and I build every lesson around your goals. My lessons are relaxed, focused, and fun. You will always feel comfortable speaking without fear of making mistakes. That is where real progress happens. For parents of young children: I have four years of experience teaching children from age three and I know how to make very young learners feel safe, happy, and excited about English. Parents are warmly welcome to join lessons for our youngest students. We can sing, play games, and learn together. Children who enjoy English early will love it for the rest of their lives.
